What Is Local Nursing?

Local nursing allows you to stay close to your home while continuing to do what you love. It offers the opportunity to build long-term relationships with a facility you enjoy working at, all while being near home and having time to connect with friends and family. By choosing local nursing contracts, you eliminate the challenges of being somewhere new every 13 weeks. Unlike travel nursing, local nursing focuses on contracts within your home states, giving you the stability you need without sacrificing your career.

To become a local nurse you must: graduate with a BSN or ADN, pass the NCLEX, receive your nursing license, and gain at least one year of experience in a given specialty. Opportunities are endless for nurses that have at least one year of RN experience! Once this requirement is met, you can start your nursing adventure.
